The Rocking Chair

Before

Brian's parents gave us this rocking chair. Mom says they bought it in Petaluma a long time ago. It was originally from some mansion but she doesn't remember what mansion. We think it is probably from the Victorian era. It used to be a brilliant emerald green. It eventually made its way to the garage. Dad gave it to us to take when we left for medical school. He also provided the funds to get it reupholstered. Over spring break we finally got it into a shop and last week it came back.

The rocking chair is absolutely beautiful. We had the hardest time finding the right color velvet. We were the most nervous about that. We are delighted with the velvet we chose and the chair in general. It is so beautiful and actually very comfortable. We like to read stories in it.

Thank you Dad! We LOVE the rocking chair. It will definitely be a family heirloom.
