Yesterday Cumorah wore big girl panties all afternoon without any accidents. She's been wearing them all day today, too. She can pull them down and run to the potty all by herself. In that order. It's pretty cute to watch her run through the living room with her panties around her ankles saying, "Bye-bye Mommy! Be right back!" I am amazed and so proud of her. She's not even two years old yet. She still wears diapers while she is sleeping and when we go out. I never really meant to seriously potty train her, so it's all way relaxed. We started playing with this back in the end of August or so. We have had a few accidents since then. Two messy wet ones in the first couple days and then six contained accidents in big girl panties, to be exact. And just yesterday we had to have a conversation about how it is Mommy's job to pour the pee pee into the big potty. But nothing too horrific has happened. I feel very fortunate. My favorite was the time Cumorah was getting into her jammies after a bath. She squatted to pick something up and a little drip of pee pee came out. She jumped up and said, "Oh! Pee pee. Sorry Mommy." I asked her if she had to go pee pee and she said, "No." She squatted again and the same thing happened. So, I sent her to the potty. It was so funny to see her jump up and look at the little drip in surprise. Oh, I take it back, my real favorite is when she toots and turns around to look if anything else happened to come out with the toot. Actually, she doesn't do that anymore, but when she did, it was pretty funny. She does still say, "Toots!" with a smile. Cumorah's daddy is particularly pleased (and probably embarrassed by the potty content of this post) that she is wearing big girl panties so that she is more modest. We haven't tried pants over the big girl panties yet. No need to rush.

Since Rivers is now sitting up all the time, we brought up the booster high chair for her, yesterday evening. She still hasn't had any solid food yet. I'm thinking she'll join us for Thanksgiving with some nice creamy rice cereal, maybe even the organic brown rice variety. :) It was really fun having Rivers sit with us at the dinner table. She's been pretty discontented on the floor and has actually been sitting in Daddy's lap for most dinners, stealing his napkin and trying to spill his food or begging for a sip of water from his glass. Seeing our two little girls across from us at the table all the sudden made us feel like we were this big happy family all sitting together. Maybe that's because we were a big happy family all sitting together.

Okay, way too many potty details. I mean, the peeing on the floor bit?
It was neat to see Rivers at the table. And she actually seemed excited about it. I'd felt bad tossing her onto the floor while we ate dinner. I'm glad she's learned to sit up.
Having her at the table did make it feel like we were a big family all of the sudden.
Somebody told me at school today that she didn't know how those of us with children were doing it. I told her I couldn't imagine going through school without children. They make life (and school) so much more wonderful. It helps to have an amazing wife and mother taking care of us all. Thank you Maryann for all that you do.
