rough morning

So Brian is back home in Iowa, but the girls and I are still in California because I went in for minor surgery last Thursday and ended up bleeding more than expected and stayed in the hospital a little longer than expected so my doctor was more worried than expected about me going home so soon which made my husband and my mother more worried than expected which made my mom change my flight and buy a ticket for herself in order to make it possible for me to get home with both of my girls later than expected. I'm under strict orders not to lift Cumorah or pretty much anything heavier than Rivers for two weeks. So we're here, missing Brian so that Grandmommy can lift Cumorah in and out of her crib and high chair and the bath and the car.... And Brian's missing us. So I'm going to try and post just for him, so that he doesn't miss out on any of life's little adventures.

Cumorah has been having a rough morning. First she bumped the top of her head on the concrete. It's kind of complicated to explain, but it was the top of her head.

Then she fell off the piano bench and hit her mouth somewhere on the way down. I'm not sure if it was the bench itself or the table nearby. Either way she has a little cut on her bottom lip and her top teeth were bleeding pretty good. She got a popsicle to ease the pain and hopefully the swelling.

We took silly pictures with our macbook in an effort to make her happy. It was the cartoon one that finally made her laugh.Mommy will kiss it better.

A little later, she was sorely disappointed when she had to stay at Grandmommy's with Mommy instead of going back to the farmhouse after Sammy came over for a little while. She had to go to her room to get herself under control. When she came back out red cheeked and sniffling out the word "happy", she began to amuse herself with the ever-exciting apple box. Alas, she slipped and scraped her tummy on the edge of the box when she climbed out. The poor baby was just falling to pieces. She was set in her chair at the table and given some yogurt. She fell asleep over her yogurt and is now in her crib sleeping off some of this morning's pain and dissapointment. It is so hard being 19 months old sometimes.
