big wheels run

I took Rivers to a birthday party at the local children's museum today and came home to these videos in my inbox.   While Rivers and I were gone the rest of the family hiked down the ravine and all the way to the river.  The thing I heard about first was the frozen fish in one of the ponds.  Sidon says it can't move.  Before they came inside (and put Quincy down for a nap, poor exhausted baby) they decided to take the big wheels down the hill.  Isn't this rather a mandatory childhood activity?  Brian's family has some great childhood stories of the runs they took down their very steep driveway.  I'm told Auntie Tracy biffed it pretty good once.  And the thirteen acres my childhood home sat on was basically the side of a hill, so we had many (muddy) places to ride the big wheels down.  Brian cleared this area back behind our house this fall.  He planned for it to be a sled run.  I'm not so sure about the sled run ending in a bunch of trees.  But that's just my opinion.  And what's with 50+ degree weather in January?  It's messing with my brain.

"Stop buddy" yeah, what is it with dads?
I like that Cumorah has her feet down most of the way down the hill.
And DANG! how'd Cumorah get to be so old looking and sounding!?
