puke and drool.

Seriously.

I don't see why he has to puke so often. He usually saves it for right after I'm done getting him dressed, multiple times in a row. Or right as we're heading out the door somewhere. There is still a big splat stain on one of the stairs.

I used to think that those little decorative bibs that come with various baby outfits were really dorky. I guess Sidon is dorky now, because he's been wearing bibs a lot lately. He thoroughly soaks his front with drool in approximately 1.3 minutes.

It's a good thing he's so cute.

worker girls

I've done a tiny bit of yard work recently. Really just a tiny bit. There is only so much time left during Sidon's morning nap after I get the girls' sunscreen and shoes on. There is so much 'yard' around here that it is hard to make much of a dent, but I managed to tend to a few plants and tore out a few weeds. Mostly the ones that were most annoying to me (ie. the things I could see out my kitchen window and on the short walk to the main house). There has also been a lot of construction around here as of late (note that the final touches of caulking were being done to our apartment as we moved in and some of the stickers are still on the windows). Soooo, the girls picked up pieces of trash, mostly construction related, while I pulled large thistles and cut suckers off the base of trees. Actually, I spent the majority of the time with my 'helpers' directing their efforts, looking at slugs and transferring an earthworm to Auntie Amy's garden. But I am a strong believer in learning to work at a young age, even though it isn't always convenient to teach it. What little kid doesn't love carrying around a bucket and filling it with stuff? They had snacks in their backpacks and were able to go play at Grandmommy's house for a bit, while I worked a little longer.

Rivers brushes off her hands after she dumps the contents of her bucket in the trash can (and on the ground).

two year olds

Cumorah must have been an abnormal two year old.

I don't remember her ever drawing on her father's leather chair, and the shelf above her little red art table, and the floor, and stray books, and the wall...
I don't remember her ever piddling on the carpet and then splashing in it for fun.
I don't remember her finger painting at EVERY meal.
I don't remember her frequently hitting her younger sibling with shoes, toys, dish towels...
I don't remember her generously using hand sanitizer as hair gel. Emphasis on 'generously'.
And I don't remember her using the hand towel as a washcloth while washing her hands and flooding the bathroom floor to boot. Emphasis on 'flooding'.

Rivers, apparently, is a normal two year old.

It's a good thing she's so cute.
